Hello everyone,

My name is Elaiza, and my family and I are from Vernon, BC. We are temporary residents who dream of settling here and giving our children—ages 5 and 3—the future they deserve.

My husband, Christian, who works as a food service supervisor, is currently in the hospital being treated for tuberculosis. This has been an overwhelming and frightening experience for our family, and we are doing our best to stay strong for him and for our two little ones. Because of the exposure risk, the children and I must stay at home and undergo testing as well, which means I am unable to return to work until we are medically cleared.

With my husband hospitalized and me unable to work, we are struggling to keep up with medical bills, monthly expenses, and even basic necessities like groceries. This is a very difficult time for us, and we are reaching out for support as we navigate the uncertainty ahead.

Any contribution—big or small—would make a meaningful difference in helping us stay afloat while my husband receives the care he needs and until our family can safely get back on our feet.
