Support for our family during Chris and Madelyn’s recovery.

Many people probably say this, but I never thought I’d ever start a GoFundMe for my family.

On Thursday, 11/7, Chris and Madelyn both experienced a medical crisis in 2 separate incidents.

Chris had a heart attack and was transferred to UMass Worcester.

Within hours, I was back at the hospital with Madelyn. Her condition escalated, and she was intubated and med-flighted to Children’s Hospital in Boston. She is still in the MICU there.

Chris is home and feeling better every day with rest. He will be out of work for weeks pending follow-ups with specialists.

Madelyn is stable but still in Boston. Her road will be longer.

I’m extremely worried about the financial strain and added expenses during this crisis. Between my missed income from the bakery and lost OT for Chris, we will be short $700/week just to cover “normal” life. That’s not counting the added expenses of these events.

I appreciate any amount anyone is able to help with. I know times are hard for many of us, so I hesitated even asking.

Positive thoughts, good vibes, and prayers for my family are also greatly appreciated.
