My wife was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer, and our lives changed overnight. She will be starting treatment this week, and while we are grateful that her doctors are moving quickly, the reality of this fight has been overwhelming both emotionally and financially. My wife is the heart of our family. Together we have five children, two of whom are now adults, and three who still rely on us every day. She has always been a hardworking, loving mother who puts her family first. Right now, her focus has to be on fighting this disease and getting through treatment. Because of her illness, she has been unable to work, and we are currently trying to navigate the process of getting disability support. Unfortunately, that process takes time, and in the meantime the medical bills are already arriving. Even with insurance, many of the specialists involved in her treatment require payments that are not fully covered, and those costs have quickly added up. With the loss of her income and the additional medical expenses, we have begun falling behind while trying to keep everything together for our family. We are asking for help so we can focus on what matters most — supporting her through treatment and keeping our family stable during this fight. Funds raised will help cover medical bills and specialist costs not fully covered by insurance, ongoing treatment expenses, household bills while she is unable to work, and basic needs for our family during this difficult time.
