Help Our Family as My Husband Fights Leukemia

On Friday night, our world turned upside down. My husband — the love of my life and the father of our five children — went to the ER after days of dizziness, headaches, and vision problems. What we thought might be high blood pressure turned into something no one ever expects to hear: his white blood cell count was over 200, and his platelets were nearly gone.

By Wednesday, after more testing and a bone marrow biopsy, we got the words that changed everything — acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). He’s now at City of Hope, beginning the hardest fight of our lives.

Our oldest daughter, Lucianna, decided the very first day that she would stay by his side. She moved into the hospital with him, taking notes and making sure he’s never alone. I stay home with our younger children, doing my best to keep life steady for them and make the long drives to the hospital whenever I can.

He has always been our family’s provider and protector, and now we need help to support him — with bills, the mortgage, gas for the drives back and forth, and meals for Lucianna while she’s there with her dad. We’re waiting for disability and other assistance to come through, but right now, we’re just trying to hold things together.

If you can help — by donating, sharing, or simply praying — it means more than we can say. Every bit of support helps us keep our home stable, our family close, and our hope alive while he fights to get better.

From the bottom of our hearts,
Thank you for helping us through this.
