Hi this is Whitney, Lindsey’s sister. I’m hosting this account and asked Lindsey’s kids to say some things about their beautiful mom.

Hi, my name is Brooklyn, and I’m 14 years old. I never imagined I’d be writing something like this.

My mom passed away very suddenly after years of medical complications. She fought so hard for so long, and in the end she was life-flighted and didn’t make it home. Our hearts are broken.

My mom was the kind of person who always thought about everyone else, even when she was struggling herself. This Christmas, she was actually in the middle of raising food and money for a local food bank, because helping others was so important to her.

Right now, my step dad is facing a lot of medical bills from years of treatments, hospital stays, and the life flight, along with funeral expenses he never expected. He’s also trying to stay strong for me and my four siblings. Our whole lives changed overnight.

We’re raising money to:

• Help cover our mom’s funeral and memorial expenses

• Reduce the medical debt left behind so my step dad can breathe again

• Help support our family as we adjust to life without our mom

• Honor my mom’s heart by donating a portion to the local food bank she cared about
