Hey all! On June 25th, our friend Liz was admitted to the Emergency Room at Kaiser Oakland for 3 days for stroke symptoms.

Fortunately, she doesn't seem to have any brain damage, negative cognitive ability impacts, or mobility loss.

Unfortunately, her insurance is high deductible/low payout, and she lost an significant amount of wages for unpaid sick time off. She will likely have to take more unpaid time off for rehab which will come with further bills, as well as ongoing checkups and medications. During this time also, Jessie, Liz's emotional support dog, has needed emergency dental extractions which have added to the financial burden.

We are trying to raise money to help with medical bills and to recover lost wages and help with rehab as well as cover treatment for Liz's ESA.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated! She is currently feeling a lot better, other than depression (a side effects of current medications) and anxiety regarding the large bills that are looming.
