We are rallying around an extraordinary healthcare leader who has been placed on involuntary leave due solely to delays in the federal processing of his DACA renewal—a situation completely outside of his control.

He was brought to the United States in 3rd grade, entering the country under his father’s student visa while his dad was earning a PhD at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. The United States has been his home ever since—where he grew up, was educated, and built a life dedicated to serving others.

For over nine years, he has faithfully served as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Indiana, leading with integrity, compassion, and deep commitment to the residents and staff who rely on him every day. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, a respected professional, and a steady presence in the lives of some of our most vulnerable seniors.

Because of prolonged government processing timelines, he is temporarily unable to work, despite having done everything required of him. During this time, he is facing not only financial strain, but the emotional toll of uncertainty—concerns about stability, basic rights, and the ability to continue the life and career he has worked so hard to build.

This is someone who:
• Was raised in the United States and knows no other home
• Entered the country legally as a child with his family
• Has never stopped giving back
• Has led through crises, staffing shortages, and regulatory challenges
• Is deeply needed by his residents and team
• Has followed every rule, met every requirement, and contributed meaningfully to his community for years

While the system moves slowly, life does not pause. Bills continue, basic needs remain, and no one should be left without support while waiting on bureaucracy.

How Your Support Helps

Funds raised will help cover:
• Basic living expenses during this forced leave
• Health insurance and essential needs
• Stability and peace of mind while his work authorization is finalized

This campaign is intended to be short-term and will end as soon as he is cleared to return to work. Our goal is simply to help bridge this unexpected gap and support him during this temporary pause.

This GoFundMe is about dignity, fairness, and community—about standing up for someone who has spent his career standing up for others.

If you believe that those who care for our elders deserve care and support in return, please consider donating or sharing this page.

Thank you for helping us take care of one of our own.
