Our 3-month-old daughter, Naomi, is currently in the Intensive Care Unit after being diagnosed with KCNT1, a very rare genetic disorder. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down, and we are extremely devastated. From our understanding, she is possibly the third child in Maryland with this diagnosis. The last month of her life has been a rollercoaster filled with hospital admissions and medication trials so we can find the best combination that will control the daily seizures. We are doing everything we can to support her through this incredibly challenging time. The days are long and filled with uncertainty, but our love and hope for her future keep us going.
As we navigate this journey, we are facing mounting medical bills and the loss of income due to time away from work so we can care for her. Every day brings new expenses, from hospital stays to treatments and medications, all while trying to keep up with our regular bills at home. It’s overwhelming, but we are determined to give our daughter the best care possible.

Nuestra hija de 3 meses, Naomi, se encuentra actualmente en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos tras ser diagnosticada con KCNT1, un trastorno genético muy raro. Este diagnóstico ha volteado nuestro mundo al revés y estamos extremadamente devastados. Según nuestro entendimiento, ella posiblemente sea la tercera niña en Maryland con este diagnóstico.
