In November 2025, our lives changed in ways we never could have imagined. Our 1-year-old began having persistent fevers, leading to multiple hospital visits and eventually an admission over Christmas week while doctors worked to find the cause. What should have been a time of joy became weeks of fear and unanswered questions.
On January 15, 2026, our child was diagnosed with leukemia. Since then, we have been in and out of the hospital, and he has now started chemotherapy. We are still waiting on the results of his bone marrow biopsy to fully understand his diagnosis and what the road ahead will look like.
We are currently staying at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, far from home in Ohio. What began as a visit has turned into an extended, uncertain stay so our child can receive the specialized care he urgently needs. To be by his side, my partner had to stop working—his job was based in Ohio and was our main source of income. On top of that, we are facing unexpected expenses such as housing, food, transportation, medical-related costs, and the cost of getting our car transported from Ohio so we can manage daily hospital life.
Right now, our only focus is our child—comforting him, advocating for him, and giving him every chance to heal. The financial strain during this time has been overwhelming, and we are asking for help so we can stay present where we are needed most.
Any donation, share, or kind message means more than we can express. Thank you for supporting our family during the hardest chapter of our lives.
