Una querida maestra enfrentando un grave desafío de salud

Estamos solicitando su apoyo para Alma Villalobos, una dedicada maestra venezolana de 69 años que ha dedicado su vida a formar e inspirar generaciones de estudiantes. Recientemente, Alma fue diagnosticada con adenocarcinoma endometrioide infiltrante de alto grado, una forma severa y agresiva de cáncer.

En el mes de enero, Alma se sometió a una histerectomía total para remover el tumor principal. Aunque esta cirugía fue un paso crucial, no es suficiente por sí sola. Ahora necesita completar su tratamiento con radioterapia y quimioterapia para reducir el riesgo de recaída y aumentar sus posibilidades de recuperación.

Lamentablemente, debido a la difícil situación del sistema de salud en Venezuela, Alma no puede acceder a los tratamientos especializados que necesita. Por esta razón, debe viajar a Colombia para recibir atención médica adecuada, lo cual representa un reto enorme tanto física como económicamente, incluyendo gastos de tratamiento, traslado y hospedaje.

Alma ha dedicado su vida a dar—enseñando, guiando y cuidando a los demás. Hoy, ella necesita de nosotros. Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, la acerca un paso más a su recuperación.

A Beloved Teacher Facing a Serious Health Challenge

We are reaching out to request your support for Alma Villalobos, a dedicated 69-year-old teacher from Venezuela who has spent her life shaping and inspiring generations of students. Alma was recently diagnosed with High-grade endometrioid infiltrating adenocarcinoma, a severe and aggressive form of cancer.

In January, Alma underwent a total hysterectomy to remove the primary tumor. While the surgery was a critical first step, it was only the beginning of her battle. She now urgently needs to complete her treatment with both radiotherapy and chemotherapy to reduce the risk of recurrence and give her the best chance at recovery.

Unfortunately, due to the challenging medical situation in Venezuela, the healthcare system cannot provide the necessary follow-up treatment. As a result, Alma must travel to Colombia to access the specialized oncology care she requires. This means facing significant expenses for medical procedures, travel, accommodations, and related care.

Alma has devoted her life to giving—through teaching, mentoring, and caring for others. Today, she needs our help. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings her closer to the treatment she needs and deserves.
