Support Ben's cancer fight

Dear friends and community,

My name is Laura and I am Ben's assistant at the kava bar. I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. My amazing boss and the owner of Karuna Kava Bar, Ben, has recently been diagnosed with stage three melanoma cancer. This news has deeply affected us ALL, as he has not only been a remarkable leader but also a source of inspiration and strength for our community.

For years, Ben has poured his heart and soul into Karuna Kava Bar, creating a safe and welcoming space where everyone feels accepted and valued. He has dedicated himself to fostering a sense of belonging, bringing people together, and providing a community hub that many of us call our second home. His passion and commitment have made a lasting impact on SO many lives.

As he embarks on this challenging journey, it is crucial for us to come together and support him and his beautiful family. Ben is a devoted husband and father to three young children, and this diagnosis places a significant emotional and financial burden on his family during this difficult time.

I am launching this GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate some of the financial stress associated with his medical treatments, as well as to provide some support for his family while he focuses on his health and recovery.
