UPDATE

I’m sharing this update with a heavy heart & a whole lot of hope. Paula is still fighting — harder than most people could ever imagine. She was originally diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer, but it has since progressed to stage four, which is why the urgency right now is greater than ever. After over two years of battling, her journey has taken another incredibly difficult turn.

She now has an ostomy bag, something she never expected to face, yet she continues to show up with strength, courage, & determination every single day.
If you know Paula, you know she is a bright light. The kind of person who lifts everyone else up, even when she’s the one going through the unimaginable. Through every setback, every hospital stay, every unknown — she has remained unbelievably positive. Not because it’s easy, but because that’s just who she is.
Just before all of this began, Paula took a leap & started her own business — something she was so proud of. Only a few months later, her world was turned upside down with this diagnosis. Since then, everything has been put on hold as she’s fought for her life. Right now, Paula has reached a point where the treatment options available here are no longer working for her. She is allergic to chemotherapy, which has taken away one of the most common paths doctors rely on.
This has left her in an incredibly vulnerable & urgent situation. In just two to three weeks, she will be traveling to Germany with her Mama for a specialized treatment she cannot access here — a treatment that offers hope, & the possibility of more time, more moments, & a real chance at continued life. But this comes with overwhelming costs.

She needs help covering: Flights to Germany Accommodations during treatment Health insurance abroad Everyday living expenses while she is unable to work Paula has been off work for over two years now. She’s not just fighting for herself — she’s fighting for her son, for more time with him, for more memories, for more “I love you’s.” I’m going to be sharing some of the reality of what she’s going through — photos from the hospital, moments that are raw, honest, & deeply human. Not for sympathy, but because this is the truth of her fight. I want you to know this — she is not alone. She has an army behind her. People who love her so deeply, people who are rooting for her every single day, people who are holding hope for her when things feel impossibly heavy.

If you are able to give, even a small amount, it would mean more than I can put into words. & if you can’t donate, sharing this page could help it reach someone who can. Paula is still here. She is still fighting. She would do it for you & she doesn’t even know ya.

With all my love, & thanks
Heather Venner, family & friends.

March 2026

Two years ago, Paula began the fight of her life. What started as appointments, treatments, & cautious hope has now become something much bigger.

Paula’s cervical cancer is now Stage 4.
For two years she has endured surgeries, treatments, side effects, exhaustion, fear — all while being off work & trying to hold onto pieces of normal life. Recently, she underwent surgery to have an ostomy bag placed. It was not something she ever imagined for herself, but she continues to show up with strength that humbles all of us.

The hardest part? Her doctors are beginning to worry that they are running out of conventional options. Paula is allergic to the chemotherapy drugs typically used to treat her cancer. The very treatments meant to help her are now something her body cannot tolerate. And yet… she is still fighting. There is hope. Australia has been leading groundbreaking research in cervical cancer treatment. There are innovative therapies & clinical approaches there that could offer Paula options we simply do not have here. Options that could extend her life. Options that could improve her quality of life. Options that could give her more time. But hope comes at a cost. Traveling internationally for treatment is not covered. Flights, accommodations, medical consultations, treatment expenses — it adds up quickly, especially after two years without income. Paula has spent the last two years fighting for her life. Now we are asking for help so she can continue that fight.

If you’ve ever loved Paula… If she has ever shown up for you… If you believe everyone deserves access to every possible chance… Please consider donating. And if you cannot donate, please share. Time matters. Research matters. Hope matters. Let’s help her get to Australia. Let’s help her keep fighting her biggest fight.

October 2025 Here’s an update on our favourite girl Paula,

The journey Paula is on is grueling, both physically and financially.
She is currently in the middle of her second round of chemotherapy (like the warrior that she is!)

This treatment round of chemotherapy, is much more aggressive. That being said, it has left her with no choice but to leave work (for the second time) to focus mainly on her health and well being.

After 8 months of a multitude of doctor’s & hospital appointments, (including many unexpected visits) & as a single mom, she faces the overwhelming task of supporting her young son, Grayson, while battling this illness. Unfortunately, the cost of her treatments, medications, travel to and from appointments, and daily living expenses have become an enormous burden. She’s had to step back from her work at the salon, for the second time ~ which means she’s lost a significant source of income, right when she needs it most.

Once chemotherapy is seen as successful, she will be given the opportunity to undergo a life threatening and yet still, life saving surgery, which will also keep her off work for an unforeseen amount of time, to focus on recovery and healing & getting back to normalcy.

Help Paula Kemp Fight Stage 3 Cervical Cancer

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

Our favourite friend, sister, mother, and hairstylist Paula Kemp, is currently facing the fight of her life. Eight months ago, Paula was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer and has been undergoing an intense journey of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. As a co-owner of The Vibe Beauty, and a devoted single mother to her son, Grayson, Paula has always been the light in our lives, bringing warmth, laughter, and an unmatched energy to everyone she meets.

Paula’s Story:
For those who know Paula, you know she is a remarkable person. Her bright smile and genuine heart have touched countless lives, both in her community and at her salon. As a talented stylist, Paula has the gift of making everyone feel beautiful, but more than that, she makes everyone feel seen and loved.
That being said as part of her cancer journey, Paula has already lost the majority of her hair.
Which if you know, Paula her love and her passion for hair, this is incredibly devastating.

She’s the friend who never hesitates to help others, the mother who does everything for her son, and the woman who fills any room with positivity. Now, in this difficult time, it’s our chance to give back and help her the way she has helped us all so much.

This is where you come in, & how You Can Help:
We’re raising funds to support Paula and Grayson through this challenging time, ensuring they can focus on her healing without the constant stress of financial worry. Your donations will help cover
• Medical bills and treatment costs not covered by insurance
• Transportation to and from treatments
• Everyday expenses, such as groceries, rent, and utilities
• Support for Grayson’s needs during this difficult time

Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference in Paula’s fight and provide her with the peace of mind she needs to focus on healing. Whether you’re able to donate, share this page, or simply pass on the word & keep Paula in your thoughts and prayers, we are incredibly grateful.
Let’s please rally together and show Paula the same love and support she has always shown all of us. Paula has always been the strength and the light for those around her—now it’s our turn to lift her up and carry her through this battle.

Thank you for standing by Paula, Grayson, and her family & friends.

PS friends : Paula has not once asked for any financial help. She is extremely so grateful (beyond words) for the help she has received - but as her friends & family, we have no problem asking for the help until she wins this fight like we all know she will

She deserves our help! She’d do it for you in a heartbeat

With all our gratitude, love & appreciation,

Heather & Cat

I'm starting this go fund me to support Paula Kemp in her journey with cancer. Paula is only 30 years old and has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer, as well as stage 2 in her lymph nodes and pelvic area. Anyone that knows Paula knows that she is the most selfless, uplifting, loving & positive person that you could ever meet. She brightens up every room that she is in and goes above and beyond in all aspects. She is also a single mother to the sweetest little boy Grayson who is 8 years old. Paula and Grayson live on their own, and Paula is the sole provider for their family. With Paula having to be off work for treatment, and unable to go on EI since she is self-employed, she has zero income to provide for her and her son, and it is undetermined when she will be able to return to work. Paula has always extended help to anyone who is in need of it, and now it’s our time to return the help to our girl. Every little bit helps - and we are eternally grateful for the support at this time. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts, we are extremely appreciative.
