My coworker and dear friend, Osagie John, is a Registered Nurse known for his caring and compassionate nature. He has dedicated his life to helping others in their times of need, but now the tables have turned—Osagie is the one who needs support. He has been diagnosed with a tumor on his heart and is now facing one of the most critical and heartbreaking times of his life. It is just him and his wife here in the United States, far from their family in Africa, and they are navigating this devastating journey largely on their own. His wife recently started a new job and is the only source of income, as well as the provider of the health insurance he urgently depends on for his medical care. She cannot take time off without risking their financial stability and coverage, yet he needs daily support at home.

We are raising funds to bring a caregiver into their home five days a week to ensure Osagie is safe, comfortable, and cared for while his wife works. In addition, we hope to bring a family member from Africa to the United States to help ease his care and provide much-needed emotional support. This assistance will help relieve some of the overwhelming emotional and financial pressure they are carrying and allow them to focus on spending meaningful time together during this incredibly difficult season.
