My name is Gloria, and I'm raising money to help my family pay for the funeral costs of my uncles Pierrot and Jose.

On Jan. 17, 2025, Oncle Pierrot was transported to a hospital in Switzerland via ambulance after having a heart attack. Shortly after, he went into a comma. After just a few days, the doctors removed him from life support. He passed on January 29, 2025. He was the fourth sibling in the family.

Then, on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, we received word that another one of my mom's siblings, Oncle Jose, passed in his sleep that morning. He was the third sibling.

If you're familiar with our story, you know that my mom spent a month and a half at the end of 2024 caring for Oncle Jose back home in Africa. The doctors were pleased because he was making significant progress in his health, even as recently as early as Friday morning.

As you can imagine, both deaths have had a significant emotional impact on my family, but also a financial impact. All of the remaining siblings contributed to my mom's trip to Africa and Oncle Jose's medical care from late 2024 until his passing on Feb. 8. Now, here we are in early 2025, burying not one but two family members.

We are anticipating that funeral costs will be between $15,000-$17,000 and will keep you in the loop as we learn costs.
