Omar Pedro Velasquez was loved by so many people. He was the best father to his daughter Hope, and their bond was truly special—they were best friends. Omar always made the best out of every situation and knew how to find the light, even in difficult times. He could make his sisters laugh when they wanted to cry, and he had a way of helping them forget why they were upset. Omar was loved everywhere he went, by coworkers, friends, and family alike.
As a child, Omar loved wrestling, playing Nintendo 64, and had a knack for beatboxing and voice impersonations. He was truly one of a kind. Watching favorite VHS movies and quoting lines together became cherished memories. Omar’s smile, heart, and charm attracted people to him, and he made everything funny. Nearly 23 years ago, Omar and his sisters lost their mother, and since then, they leaned on each other, always united as 'Wanda’s Kids.'
Now, with Omar’s unexpected passing, his family is facing the difficult task of saying goodbye while ensuring his daughter Hope is cared for. The funds raised will help cover funeral expenses and provide support for Hope as she navigates this loss. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help honor Omar’s memory and ensure his legacy of love and laughter lives on. Thank you for your kindness and support during this heartbreaking time. Love, Hope, Yanyris, Jeanette, Jahzir, Jaaron & Amar’e. Forever in our hearts.
