I will soon have to make the decision no pet owner ever wants to face - when to euthanize my poor, sweet baby boy Oliver (Ollie). He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Lymphoma and he is starting to show signs of decline. It is not yet time to let him go, but it I know that will be very soon. Probably within the next month. I am so heartbroken and angry that I cannot even find sufficient works. He's only 4 years old! I would really prefer to do an at home euthanization, if I can manage it. I don't want his last moments to be in some cold exam room. I want him to be in a place he knows and feels safe.
Friends and family, I humbly ask for your help. As most of you know, I have been in pretty dire financial straits and I have already had to spend hundreds of dollars on vet visits and cancer treatment drugs. I know this is a huge ask, especially right after the holidays, but any amount you can spare would be tremendously helpful.
Thank you, everyone, and please keep me, Ollie and Lola in your thoughts and prayers. This has been the most difficult time of my life and watching Ollie get sicker each day has been absolutely agonizing. As heartbroken as I am, I feel SO bad for my Lola. She loves her brother so much and she is going to be lost without him, just as I will.
