My sister Olga has always been the kind of person who puts others first. She’s worked tirelessly as a nurse’s aid at St Anthony Regional Hospital and Nursing Home, and on weekends as a waitress, always bringing kindness and care to everyone she meets. Recently, our family received devastating news: Olga was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer. The diagnosis has turned her world upside down. She is now very sick and unable to work at either of her jobs. As her younger brother, I want to do everything I can to help her through this incredibly difficult time.
Olga is single and doesn’t have any children, so she relies on her jobs for all of her income. With chemo treatments starting next Wednesday, March 11th, the financial burden is overwhelming. The treatments are very expensive, and on top of that, Olga is worried about making her house and car payments. She has always been independent and hardworking, but now she needs help to meet these challenges. My family and I are doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone.
Unfortunately, the road ahead for Olga is very frightening. She will need lots of support financially to get through this. For those who know her personally, you already know what a wonderful, caring person she is—always helping others and spreading kindness. We are asking for your prayers and financial help. Anything you can do, whether it’s a donation or sharing this fundraiser, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for supporting Olga during this difficult time.
