Mike Wilder a devoted father of our two boys, and a dedicated police officer for the San Diego Police Department. As my significant other, Mike has always worked hard to provide for our family, often taking on extra shifts and overtime to ensure we are cared for. On Saturday, December 13th, our lives changed when Mike was struck by a drunk driver while crossing the street in Pacific Beach. This sudden accident has left him unable to work, and as the sole supporter of our household, we are now facing an uncertain future as we do not know how long he will be off work.

I stay at home to raise our boys, so Mike’s income is what keeps our family going. With his recovery ahead, we are concerned about covering our everyday expenses and making sure our boys have what they need. The funds raised through this campaign will help us manage household costs and support our family while Mike takes the time he needs to heal and fully recover before returning to work. Your support will allow Mike to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial worries.

The funds raised will be forwarded to Mike personally to cover everything he normally depends on overtime at work and side work to help cover for us. This will not cover any medical bills as this is covered by his department already but is solely just the extra income he is used to having on his checks that will not be there while out of work.
