Johnathon Ross has dedicated nearly two decades to law enforcement, serving in roles with the U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Since 2015, he has worked as a deportation officer in Minnesota, and his commitment to public safety has included special training as part of ICE’s Special Response Team, as well as roles as a firearms instructor and field intelligence officer. Johnathon has always put his duty first, even in the face of danger.

On January 7, 2025, Johnathon’s life changed forever. While on duty in Minneapolis, he was confronted with a deadly situation and forced to make a split-second decision to protect his own life. The incident resulted in the tragic loss of Renee Goodman, and while many are grieving, it’s important to recognize the pain and trauma Johnathon and his family are now enduring. This was not the first time Johnathon faced danger—just months earlier, in June 2025, he was seriously injured during an ICE operation in Bloomington, Minnesota, when he was dragged by a vehicle. These experiences have left lasting physical and emotional scars.

Now, Johnathon is facing mounting legal fees, medical bills, lost wages, and the heavy burden of emotional pain and suffering. His family is struggling to cope with the aftermath, and their lives have been turned upside down.
