On Friday evening, November 14, 2025, our family experienced a loss we never expected. My mother, Noreen Dana, known affectionately as The Hub Lady, passed away suddenly. Moments before, she had been talking with my dad and then his world ended. Paramedics worked desperately to save her life, but despite their efforts, she slipped away from the man who loved her for fifty years.

My dad is now facing a mountain of expenses he simply cannot manage alone. He is on Social Security with no other income, and had to borrow money just to have my mom cremated. The funeral home charges for every service, and we are searching for a place that can accommodate the many people who loved my mom. The cost for a memorial service in our area is significant. On top of that, we discovered my mom had maxed out her credit cards, leaving a large amount of debt, and there are still medical bills from her dialysis and treatment that need to be paid.
