Hello, my name is Nilsa Rodriguez. My granddaughter was on her way to school Friday morning (1/23/26) and was hit by a speeding reckless driver. She was hit at her bus stop less than a mile from her friends and other students who attend Heritage High School. The driver disregarded her condition and attempted to move her from where she landed which almost caused even worse damage than he already caused. She suffered from a concussion, a torn ligament, and a fractured pelvis due to his recklessness. I want to share her story to raise awareness for those who think it is okay to speed in residential areas.
