With heavy hearts, we are raising funds to support Nikolay during an unimaginable loss. His beloved mother, Yelena Kuzmina, tragically passed away on January 8, 2026, in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Her sudden passing has left a deep and painful void in the life of her son and in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Yelena was not only a devoted mother—she was Nikolay’s entire world. As a disabled adult, Nikolay lived with and depended on his mother for daily care, comfort, and unwavering support. She was his protector, his constant, and his greatest source of love. Losing her means facing a future without the one person who had always been by his side.
Nikolay is a cherished and well-known member of the Marblehead community, a town where everybody truly knows his name. He is known for the bright light, warmth, and hope he shares with everyone he meets. Now, during this profoundly sad time, that light needs to be surrounded by love, prayer, and compassion as he learns how to live without his mother.
Nikolay is not alone. His sister, Olia Golinder, is stepping into the role of his caregiver and opening her home and heart to him. In the coming weeks, Nikolay will be relocating to Florida to live with Olia as they begin this new chapter together—one shaped by grief, courage, and deep sibling love.
We are asking for any support you may be able to offer to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and to ease the many financial burdens this family is facing during this difficult transition. No gift is too small. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Nikolay and Olia in your prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and compassion. Your support helps honor Yelena’s memory and brings comfort and stability to the children she loved so deeply.
