My fiancé, Nikolas McBrien, is lost his life battling T-cell lymphoma, and our family is facing some of the hardest days we've ever known. Nikolas was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, but the treatments were especially tough on him. He was often confused, in a lot of pain, and hadn’t been responding well to the chemo. We made countless trips back and forth to the hospital, and each visit brought new challenges and uncertainty.

We have four children who were watching their dad struggle, and it’s heartbreaking to see how much this has affected them. While taking care of Nikolas, I lost my job. So our family’s income has disappeared. The costs of transportation, meals for our kids, and everyday expenses are adding up quickly. The stress of trying to keep our family afloat while supporting Nikolas through his treatment was overwhelming. Now that he is gone I'm trying to find a way to keep our home.

Support from this fundraiser would mean the world to us. It would help provide meals for our children, help keep our home and ease some of the financial burden that’s weighing on us. Most importantly, it would allow us to focus on the grief of someone who was so important to us.
