UPDATE (5/5/21):
Thank you to everyone who has donated to this. Since this started all the Pescadera siblings are now awake and in San Diego. Since her passing, she had been cremated in early April and has been placed in two urns.
Our family decided to have a celebration of life service on her birthday, May 15th at El Camino Memorial in Sorrento Mesa. Half of her remains will stay at the Pesadera residence and the other half will be interned at her final resting place at Miramar National Cemetery.
Your kind donations have helped us in celebrating Nida's life.

Sincerely,
The Pescadera Family

Dear Family, Friends, and Colleagues.
Our hearts have sunk into an emotional abyss. It is with great regret to inform you that Nida Menes Pescadera transitioned into her next life yesterday, February 1st, 2021 around 1:00 PM (PST).
Arrangements for her memorial service will be made to allow her 1st son, Neil Ryan Menes Pescadera, to return to San Diego from Iwakuni, Japan in March and attend in person.
The immediate family asks that you keep everyone safe by not visiting our house in person since we are in a pandemic. Our whole family was hospitalized due to COVID-19. If you would like to send your sympathy cards you may direct message for the address.
Please allow yourself to grieve with us by praying in your own sanctuary, letting your emotions out, and asking our ancestors to guide her living spirit in her new life.
We honor Nida Menes Pescadera as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, auntie, friend, co-worker, neighbor, and tongits player. If you truly want to honor her, you can also do so by acknowledging that COVID-19 is real. For the time being, please also pray for our sister Cheryl, as she is still in the ICU and sedated.
Some of you have reached out and asked how you can help us during this time. As you can imagine, our family was not at all prepared for the financial burden that comes along with a proper memorial service. Know that your kindness is much appreciated as we navigate this heartbreaking moment. We kindly ask, if you are able to, to donate funds towards the memorial service, as we hope to carry out all of Nida's final wishes.
Thank you again for supporting us during this time.
May god and the higher spirits allow Nida to rest in peace and tranquility.
With heavy hearts,
The Pescadera Family
