Our beautiful friend Nicolai got assaulted on New Year's morning and, as a result, has a broken jaw needing urgent medical attention. Surgery, metal plates, mouth wired shut, IV nutrition - the whole ordeal. He's stuck in New York while this is happening and I'm sure medical costs/rent/rescheduled flights/work are the last thing he wants to think about!
