This fundraiser I'm doing is on behalf of Nikki Edwards, her husband Tony and all her children.
We are still trying to process this incredibly surreal time in our lives.
We never thought that we would be ending the year with losing Nikki. She was so amazing, funny and strong. She was a wonderful mum, a lovely wife and a brilliant friend.
Nikki's Story...
Nicola Tatnell met Tony Edwards when they were just 16 years old. Soon after they got married and eventually had 5 lovely kids, Brittany, Cruze, Diezel, Dalton and Buster. In March 2016 Nikki fell pregnant with another child, Storm. During this time Nikki went to have her appendix removed and the doctors found that she had cancer, so they couldn't proceed. In May 2016 baby storm was born premature and unfortunately didn't make it. The doctors tried to give Nikki Chemo but it didn't work, so she had to undergo a high risk operation where she was given a 50/50 chance to get rid of the caner. After this Nikki woke up and was finally given the all clear!
During lockdown this year Nikki was experiencing pain in her abdomen, which we all thought nothing of at first but this led to her getting a Stoma put in. Nikki was the strongest person and recovered so quickly from this adjusting to her new life with a Stoma. Just when everything seemed okay Nikki found out her cancer had come back despite being given a scan back in march. In just 6 months the Cancer had come back and this time it was in her Neck, Lungs, Stomach and Liver. We received a call nobody ever wants to receive. The doctors had said they couldn't do anything for Nikki, and like that everyone's life changed. But Nikki was so extremely positive and strong she didn't give up. Early October the doctors had said if they put a stent in her liver it may prolong her time and Nikki continued to fight. Nikki's condition worsened over the next weeks to come to the point she was struggling to breathe, eat, walk. The nurses had set up a lovely bed in the dining room for her to stay and on Tuesday the 3rd of November Nikki passed away peacefully with everyone by her side till the last moment.

All funds will go directly to Tony Edwards the husband of Nicola and will be put towards funeral services. Any money over will go towards the children to help them with school uniform, bills and anything that can make this time for the family as worry free as possible.
