Hey guys, my name is Tanner and my best friend Nick recently passed away in an accident. This is for the relief of his family, and to help cover any costs that are attached to this.
Nick was my best friend for the past 8 1/2 years. Nick was one of the most pure, loving souls this world can offer. He had this energy to him that made everyone happier, and he'd do anything to make sure the people he loved and/or surrounded himself with were happy. He was an adrenaline fueled crazy fella on the outside, but inside he was pure and truly only cared about what other people wanted. He had a million and one quirks to him, and he was my brother. I met him our freshman year in high school, 2017. I had just moved from South Carolina after being in Hawaii for my entire life, and we instantly became friends. Just being absolute wrecks in Mr. Godwin's math class causing every problem you could possibly imagine. Sneaking vape hits in the back of class just praying we didn't caught. But, my point with that is he'd do anything to make sure there was a smile on my face, and so many others faces. He was down to do anything, at any time, and any place to have fun. From then on, we became brothers. It was more than just a friendship, his Ma and Pops became mine, as mine did to him. We have this weird joint family that I absolutely adore. I mean I'm no italian, but let me tell you, they done made me an italian. We tell everyone that we are brothers, because that's what we became. This man called me one day, and was like "Tanner, I have this MINT couch for you. I'm telling you it's f***** mint. Best couch you ever seen. Cmonnnn take it." and I was stoked. Dude pulled into my house with this couch and it had a coffee stain going throughout the entire back side and cushions. It was the funniest thing I had ever witnessed and we would joke about it 24/7. He somehow made the most run down stained couch seem like I was winning the lottery. And that's who he was. Even in the crappiest situations, he'd make light of them. We went through hell and back together, and Nick saved my life on numerous occasions. He would come over at 3 in the morning to sit on my balcony and look at the stars with me. He was my brother, and I'm going to miss him in ways that i cannot begin to express.
Anything helps, I truly hope to be able to help them mourn without the stress of life, bills, and whatever comes with this. Thank you all for reading, and please, stay safe.
