For Nicklas Reid Beckstead
Nicklas Reid Beckstead was only 13 years old when his life was tragically cut short. On Saturday, August 29, Nicklas was reported missing while swimming across the Spokane River near Ironhorse Circle in Post Falls. Emergency personnel responded quickly, with assistance from multiple agencies, and members of the dive team located him in the river. Life-saving efforts were immediately started, and Nicklas was transported to Kootenai Health. In spite of every effort, he was later pronounced deceased. Nicklas, the beloved son of Jeremiah and Kat Beckstead, leaves behind a family that has been broken by this unimaginable loss and a community that has been deeply devastated by his passing. Nicklas will be terribly missed by his brothers, little sister, parents, friends, and community.
Nicklas was so loved. He was so kind to everyone and could put a smile on anyone’s face. He had such a beautiful soul and loved his family and friends with all that he was. Family was everything to Nicklas, and this tragedy has shattered his family. This fundraiser is to support the Beckstead family as they face the tragic passing of Nicklas and begin to navigate the heartbreak of losing this precious baby boy.
Funds raised will help with the heavy expenses for medical care, funeral arrangements, and counseling support for the Beckstead family as they learn to live with such a big loss. A huge thank you goes out to all of the emergency personnel and medical staff who worked so hard and were true heroes in bringing Nicklas home, in spite of the tragic outcome. Please help bring this baby boy to rest and support Jeremiah, Kat, and their family through the difficult days ahead. Any donation, prayer, or share will mean so much as the Beckstead family leans on the love and support of those around them.
