Dear Friends and Family of Nick Van Zanen,

As many of you know, on September 2 Nick had a horrible motorcycle accident on his way to work when a car turned in front of him from the opposite direction. He was ejected into the air and over the car and landed approximately 90ft further down the road.

By the time he was brought to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA by air ambulance, the medical staff there did not expect him to survive. He suffered from broken bones and a collapsed lung. But the most serious injury he suffered was the traumatic brain injury even though he was wearing a helmet. He has been in a coma for a few weeks now, but some glimmers of hope have appeared as he has been opening his eyes for short periods of time, but he has not been communicating in any way. Even in the best-case scenario, Nick will have a long road of recovery ahead of him.

Since Nick’s accident, many of you have been graciously reaching out privately and publicly asking us if there was a GoFundMe account that you could donate to support Nick. So, we set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for any of his out-of-pocket medical expenses and to help support his three daughters, Naomi (13), Mila (7), and Drew (4).
