Support for Nick Riley

In April 2021, Nick Riley had an unexplained episode of acute pancreatitis and was hospitalized for a couple of days. At that time, he had clear CT scans, and it was thought that possibly a gallstone had caused pancreatitis. He felt great until April of 2022 when he began having back pain. He saw a chiropractor for about three weeks when he developed abdominal pain. He said it felt like the previous episode of pancreatitis, so he made an appointment with his PCPs office for later that afternoon. Again, a CT scan was ordered, and the results were devastating. On April 26th, Nick was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.

 

Nick Riley is husband to Magical Mouse Travel’s Sami Riley and Father to Karrington (12) and Karver (8). Not only is Nick a hero to his family, but Nick is a hero to his local and statewide community. Nick served as a volunteer firefighter & led the Iowa Firefighter Association as President this past year.

 

With the ever-changing economic climate, the Riley’s need direct financial help. With rising gas prices & medical costs, driving to and from treatments is taking a toll on Nick and his family. As they look to get more treatment options, traveling distances and expenses will increase.

We are truly devastated by the news of Nick’s health and are committed to doing anything we can to help the Riley Family through this difficult time.
