I have had the privilege of working alongside Gabriela Calixto, a medical assistant whose kindness, dedication, and selflessness touch everyone around her. She is not only an incredible colleague, but also a devoted daughter, mother, sister, and friend.

Just a few days before Christmas, Gabriela’s father, Nicholas Calixto, suffered a major medical event that left him on life support. While Nicholas continues to fight, his children — Ana Hernandez “Calixto,” Gabriela Calixto, Sandy Calixto, and Nicolas Calixto — are now providing him with 24/7 care while still trying to support their own families.

This family has always shown strength, love, and resilience. Now, they need the support of the community they’ve poured so much into.
