On February 7, my sister’s home was shot multiple times in an act of gun violence. During the incident, her 11-year-old son, Nicholas, was struck twice and rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, he survived and is now recovering, but this has been a deeply traumatic experience for our entire family.

My sister is a single mother raising four children on her own. She is now facing medical bills, missed work, and the urgent need to relocate her family to a safer place. While we are seeking help through victim assistance programs, those take time.
