My sister, Nho Thath, has been hospitalized for more than a week, bravely battling pneumonia. Initially on a respirator, she has now been taken off, and the doctors continue to conduct tests and keep a close watch on her condition. Unfortunately, she was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Our family has remained by her side, filled with hope and prayers for her recovery, yet the situation has been profoundly challenging and uncertain.
During Nho Thath's time in the hospital, our family faced an unimaginable tragedy. Her 17-year-old son, Desmond Pao, has sadly passed away. Due to Nho Thath’s health condition, we have not yet been able to share this devastating news with her. The burden of this loss, coupled with the stress of her illness, has left our family heartbroken and struggling to manage both emotional and financial challenges. Additionally, she lost another son 15 years ago.
We are currently raising funds to assist with the funeral expenses for Desmond, as well as the increasing medical bills and living costs for Nho Thath while she is in the hospital. We understand that no amount of money can alleviate the pain of losing a child, but any support you can provide will help us navigate these overwhelming costs and allow us to focus on caring for Nho Thath and honoring Desmond’s memory. We are seeking prayers from friends, family, and our church community, and we are sincerely thankful for any assistance you can offer during this incredibly tough time.
