My name is Nytssa Gonzalez and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin, Stephanie Garcia, whose family has been devastated by the recent mass shooting in Newark, NJ.

Stephanie’s two sons were both injured in the attack. Tragically, her 10-year-old son did not survive his injuries. Her other son is currently in the hospital but is thankfully in stable condition and recovering after surgery for a gunshot wound to his stomach.

Stephanie and her family are unable to organize this fundraiser themselves, as they are still in the hospital supporting their surviving son and managing overwhelming grief and medical challenges. With their permission, I am stepping in to help make sure they receive the support they need during this unimaginable time.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

Funeral expenses for their beloved son

Medical and hospital bills for their surviving child

Any immediate support the family needs while they navigate the next few weeks
