Our dear friend, Cassie, is facing an incredibly challenging time after recently losing her job, just four months after giving birth to her baby. As a new mother, she is navigating postpartum depression and severe anxiety while doing everything she can to provide a safe and healthy life for her child. Her baby, August, also has health challenges that require a specialized formula that is not covered by the state, even with a prescription, creating an additional financial burden.

She is a registered CNA who has completed a year of nursing school and plans to re-enroll in August 2026. She also has six years of experience working as a paraprofessional supporting children in special education—showing her deep commitment to caring for others even during her own hardships. While we wait for unemployment benefits to begin, I am raising funds on her behalf to help cover these immediate and essential needs, including specialized formula, rent, and other essentials for her and her baby.
