Honoring Nereida Dominguez & Supporting Her Family

On January 19, 2026, our family suffered a shocking and unexpected loss with the passing of Nereida Dominguez, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and caretaker. Her passing has left an immeasurable hole in our hearts and created sudden financial burdens we were not prepared for.

Nereida was the heart of her home and the love of Coach Dan’s life for over 50 years. She was a true hostess in every sense of the word, her door was always open, her kitchen always full, and her table always had room for one more. She was known for cooking too much food (on purpose), caring deeply for everyone around her, and making people feel safe, welcomed, and loved.

She was incredibly proud of her children and grandchildren, lived her life grounded in faith, and found joy in nurturing both people and plants. A true “plant lady” with a green thumb, she also loved beauty, especially decorating her home and all things designer. Everything she touched reflected care, intention, and love.

I am Katelyn and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of our family. Funds raised will go directly toward:

- Funeral and memorial expenses

- Immediate household bills

- Helping ease the financial and emotional stress on her husband, Daniel Dominguez Sr.

This loss was sudden, and the expenses have added stress during an already painful time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help support our family as we navigate these days without the woman who held us all together.
