Hi there!

My name is Priyenka Gurung, and together with my brother Pranaya, we are raising funds to support families affected by the devastating floods in Betrawati, Nepal - our mama ghar, the place where our mom grew up and where we have spent so many summers together when visiting Nepal.

The past few days have been incredibly difficult. Being abroad, we could only watch the devastating news unfold from afar, while desperately trying to reach our family and loved ones.

We were incredibly relieved to finally hear that our grandmother is safe. But many of our relatives, friends and people from the community are still missing, and countless families have lost their homes, belongings and livelihoods.

As we have now learned that direct aid can be provided within your own community, we have decided to start this fundraiser to help the people of Betrawati.

My parents are flying to Nepal from Belgium this week and will travel to Betrawati to personally deliver essential supplies to directly support affected families. This will allow us to make sure the funds raised reach people on the ground who urgently need help.

Whether it is a small or large contribution, every amount counts. Even €5 or €10 can help provide food, water, clothing, hygiene products and other essential supplies to a family going through an unimaginable time.
