Support for Nelson and Karla's Funeral and Family

It is with broken hearts that we share the tragic and senseless loss of Nelson and Karla Alatorre, two beautiful souls who were taken from us through a horrific act of violence. Nelson and Karla were more than just family — they were pure joy and warmth. The laughter in every room, and the kind of people who made everyone feel loved and welcome. Their warmth, easygoing spirits, and genuine kindness touched everyone who knew them.

As our family struggles to understand and cope with this unimaginable tragedy, we are asking for your help to honor Nelson and Karla in the way they deserve. All funds raised will go toward funeral expenses and to send their bodies home to Mexico, where they will be reunited with their mother and family.

Anything remaining after funeral and burial costs will be given directly to their mother, to help her care for Karla’s 7-year-old daughter, a sweet little girl left behind who now faces life without her loving mom.

Con el corazón destrozado compartimos la trágica y sin sentido pérdida de Nelson y Karla Alatorre, dos almas hermosas que fueron arrebatadas de nosotros a través de un horrible acto de violencia. Nelson y Karla eran mucho más que familia: eran pura alegría y calidez. La risa en cada reunión, y el tipo de personas que hacían que todos se sintieran amados y bienvenidos. Su bondad, su manera sencilla de ser y su espíritu genuino tocaron la vida de todos los que los conocieron. Mientras nuestra familia intenta comprender y sobrellevar esta tragedia inimaginable, pedimos su ayuda para honrar a Nelson y Karla como se merecen. Todos los fondos recaudados se destinarán a cubrir los gastos funerarios y a enviar sus cuerpos a México, donde podrán reunirse con su madre y su familia. Cualquier cantidad que quede después de cubrir los gastos del funeral y el entierro será entregada directamente a su madre, para ayudarla a cuidar de la hija de Karla, una dulce niña de 7 años que ahora enfrenta la vida sin su amorosa mamá. No hay aporte pequeño — cada donación, cada compartida y cada oración significan el mundo para nosotros.
