It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Nef Mendoza, a beloved husband, father, son, friend, and Marine. Nef was just 31 years old, and in that short time, he made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He was the kind of man who showed up for his family, for his friends, and for his fellow veterans. A natural leader, Nef poured into others with humility and strength, always putting people before himself. If you stood anywhere in his radius, you felt his care was genuine, his presence was steady, and his heart was big.

Nef passed away due to complications following open-heart surgery at the Mayo Clinic. His loss is sudden and deeply felt across his family, friends, and all the communities he poured into. But more than anything, our hearts are with his family.

Nef leaves behind his wife, Alexis, and their two beautiful children, Emilio and Selene. As the sole provider for his family, his passing creates an unimaginable emotional and financial burden during an already devastating time.

This fund has been created to support Alexis and the kids as they navigate life without Nef. Every dollar raised will go toward helping provide stability, covering immediate and future expenses, and giving this family the space to grieve without the added weight of financial uncertainty.
