Nathan Murro, his wife Amy, and their two boys are facing an incredibly difficult time after Nathan suffered a devastating accident. Nathan, my brother, fell 15 feet through a ceiling, resulting in multiple fractures to his pelvis, including damage to the hip joint. He underwent major surgery where doctors used an 8-inch bolt to stabilize the three largest fractures. His recovery will be long and challenging, and at this time, it is undetermined when he will be able to return to work. The family relies heavily on Nathan’s income, so this sudden accident has created significant financial stress.

Along with mounting medical expenses and everyday bills, the Murro family is now facing the urgent need to make their home handicap accessible before Nathan can safely return home in a wheelchair. They will need to install a wheelchair ramp, renovate the downstairs bathroom to include a shower, and finish a downstairs room so Nathan can stay on the first floor during recovery. They will also need to purchase essential medical and mobility equipment such as a hospital bed, walker, commode, and other supplies to help care for Nathan during the months ahead, as he will be unable to walk for quite some time.
