Hi my name is Adrianna Tatom, I live in Humboldt county California.

On Thursday November 10th my brother Nathan and his partner Andrea lost their home to a structure fire in humboldt county, that was started by an old wood stove, thankfully neither of them were home because the house and everything they owned was completely gone within 10 mins of the fire department responding. They were left with nothing but the clothing they were wearing and thankfully they had their pup with them at the time. My family is devastated. My brother lives a very minimalistic life and I’ve always admired him. He’s 30 years old and is one of the smartest, kindest, hard working individuals I know. He has a very calm demeanor and never loses his positive attitude even during trying times like these. My older brother is one of my role models and gives everything to everyone else. He never asks for help even in these times, which is why I want to try and do what I can to make sure him and his partner are taken care of. The goal is intended to help them with buying clothing, toiletries, furniture, and all the essential household items as well as getting into a new home. Anything anyone is willing to donate is greatly appreciated. They really are going to need all the help they can get starting over from scratch. My family is just blessed to still have them with us so that is what we can be grateful for this holiday season. I would like to also give a huge thank you to the local and state resources that responded and for how fast they were on scene, as well as helping mitigate any further spread to near by structures.
