Support for Nate Hill & Family
On October 2, 2020, a malignant salivary gland tumor was removed from Nate's mouth along with 6 teeth. After several rounds of radiation, Nate was on his way to making a full recovery. Flash forward to Spring/Summer 2021, and Nate began having lower back pain thought to be brought on by a golfing injury. Some scans detected that he had a compression fracture on his T12 vertebrae, and was working on recovering with physical therapy and rest. Unfortunately, the pain continued to worsen and became debilitating. on July 23, an MRI showed a tumor on the T12 vertebrae that caused the initial pain and compression fracture and the tumor protruding onto his spinal cord. Nate was taken to UAMS on Sunday, July 25 by ambulance as he could no longer move without extreme pain.
Nate's team at UAMS is currently having Nate undergo chemotherapy and radiation in a effort to shrink the tumor in his spine to allow for a fusion surgery. The chemo appears to be working which is a great sign! Nate has been fitted with a back brace, which is helping with his pain. His surgery date is currently scheduled for August 16. Friends of the Hill family are asking for donations to help support Nate, Jeni, and Livi as they navigate these difficult waters. Please keep the prayers coming! The Hill family is strong in their faith and know that God is with them in this walk.
(All funds raised, minus GoFundMe's transation fees [2.9% + $0.30 per donation] will go directly to the Hill Family. If you'd rather donate by check or other means, please message me and I will send you Jeni's mailing address. Or if you'd rather Venmo Jeni, her handle is @Jennifer-Hill-73. )
Thank you again for your support and prayers! -Friends of the Hill Family
