Support for Nano Micro Preemie Trixie and Family

Hi, I'm Jennifer and this is my baby Trixie. She is a nano micro preemie, born at just 26 weeks gestation, she is currently 1 pound 9 ounces.

She is the surviving baby of my twin pregnancy, her twin Luca passed away in utero around 20 weeks gestation, we aren't sure what happened. My twins were DI DI twins which is the reason that Trixie was able to survive, she had her own placenta and amniotic sac separate from Luca.

It was important to try to make it to 32 weeks for my baby girl to have the best chance of survival, but my body realized that Luca had passed and began early labor. Efforts to stop the premature labor failed, I developed sepsis and I ended up having to have an emergency c-section. And that's how baby Trixie came to be born at only 26 weeks. I am a stay at home mom, with a 2 year old and two teens; my boyfriend Barry (baby's father) is the only one working right now able to support us all, but he has lost work hours due to the extremely difficult pregnancy that this was and with the emergency situation surrounding the birth of Trixie and the loss of our son Luca. The things we are raising money to help with are: items we still need for baby Trixie that we had not been able to get yet because she was born extremely early, the cremation of our twin baby Luca who passed away, a deep freezer to store my breast milk that I am pumping for baby Trixie, and also for traveling back and forth to the hospital 3x/week to drop off breast milk for my baby Trixie and to bond with her as she is not able to come home yet. We only have one vehicle and Barry has to use that for work, I don't have any other transportation so I would have to UBER rides for this and obtain childcare for my 2 year old. I don't have any family or friends that live close who can help me right now.
