We want to provide some support for our dear colleague Nancy Sweetman. Nancy is the glue that keeps our Corporate Real Estate and Facility Management team together in our Yellowknife office. She is going through a series of unfortunate events, and we would like to invite you to give, if possible, to help provide her some support and stability.

Nancy was forced to evacuate Yellowknife due to the wildfires, and on her way out, she was in an accident with a semi-truck - she lost her truck and travel trailer with all her belongings. Every place she has stopped so far has not had the capacity for her to stay, and she has had to travel to multiple towns and cities to find a temporary home. She has travelled over 1,500 km from Yellowknife and now landing in Edmonton.

While saying this all, she has not been alone as Nancy is the primary caregiver to her mother, her husband, and to her cats as well. She has been carrying the heavy load of all these trials and tribulations and needs some reprieve to start to breath.

The funds will assist her immediately in getting some bare necessities (shoes, a jacket, a good meal - to name a few) but also to get her back to her home in Yellowknife once the evacuation orders are lifted. She has some more obstacles to overcome in the coming weeks but this will aid in setting her up for success and giving her peace of mind.

We want to come together as a community to show Nancy that she has support and a team to lean on in these times. Please help send well wishes to Nancy, some words of encouragement and strength knowing that we may be a national team spread from coast to coast and territory but we are united as a family. Ohana - no one gets left behind.
