I’m raising $2,200 on behalf of my dear friend Nalah Love—a woman who poured so much healing, joy, and cultural brilliance into the Bay Area during her time here.

If you ever stepped into one of Nalah’s wellness spaces, yoga classes, or Caribbean-rooted dance fitness sessions, you know the kind of light she carries. She held space for us with grace, movement, and spirit. Now, it’s our turn to pour that love back into her.

Recently, a level 5 hurricane devastated parts of Jamaica, including Nalah’s community in Port Antonio. She and her family endured weeks without power, and like so many others impacted, they are still rebuilding and restoring the essentials needed for daily life.

To support them, I am purchasing a solar-powered generator so they have reliable access to power while the infrastructure in their area recovers.

How the money is spent:

• Solar Generator: $1,200 (Home Depot’s export representative has kindly waived the export fee.)

(Laparkan has generously offered a 10% discount due to the current crisis in Jamaica.)

Every dollar we raise goes directly towards the cost of the generator, an invaluable, life-restoring resource into Nalah’s hands.

Nalah has given so much love, wellness, and community to the Bay. I’m asking our community to stand with her as she and her family rebuild their lives in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.
