Myla is a bright and bubbly 8-year-old girl who brings joy to everyone she meets. She loves spending time with her parents, Jake and Kayla, and her brother Maddox. School is one of her favorite places, and her friendly, caring nature has made her a friend to many. Her best friend is her mama, and together they share a special bond that lights up their family’s life.
Recently, what started as a routine eye doctor’s appointment for double vision turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. An MRI revealed that Myla has a rare brainstem tumor, and the prognosis of DIPG isn't the best currently. This news has turned the family’s world upside down, and Jake and Kayla are now focused on spending as much time as possible with their daughter. Both parents are taking time off work to be by Myla’s side, and the financial strain of medical bills and daily expenses is growing.
We are raising funds to help relieve some of the financial stress for Jake and Kayla as they navigate this unimaginable journey. Your support will help cover bills, living expenses, and anything Myla needs to make her days as comfortable and joyful as possible. The outpouring of love from friends, family, and the community means everything to them. Thank you for standing with Myla and her family during this difficult time, and for helping them create precious memories together.
I will update you all as much as I can, she starts radiation on Wednesday and is on steroids to help with the swelling on her brain.
