My wife Lindsay and I went into labor and delivery to welcome our baby girl into the world. The next day, everything changed when a nurse found my wife unresponsive with our baby on the floor. Thankfully, our baby was okay, but my wife had suffered a seizure and went without oxygen to her brain for about 20 minutes, causing significant brain damage. She spent 8 days on life support and was in the hospital for a total of a month and 4 days. As a result, she is now half paralyzed on the left side of her body and her eyesight has also been affected. She was diagnosed with Todd’s Paralysis syndrome, also known as Alice in Wonderland Syndrome. She is currently going through rehab, and it’s going to be a long road to recovery.
This has been an incredibly challenging time for our family as we adjust to a new reality. My wife is unable to work due to her condition, and we are in the process of trying to get her onto disability. As the sole provider for my wife, our newborn, and my four kids, I am doing everything I can to support our family, but the financial strain is overwhelming. We would use the funds for rent and basic necessities while my wife recovers and we wait for disability support.
We would be extremely grateful for any support, no matter how big or small. Thank you for considering a donation and keeping our family in your thoughts. Your kindness will help us keep a roof over our heads and provide for our family during this difficult time.
