Hey y’all, I am approaching my due date which means I will go on leave in 7 weeks. While I am excited to bond with my son, I’m also a bit worried. My job doesn’t offer paid maternity leave. I get 12 weeks of unpaid leave. They call it “bonding time with your baby”. I’m not one to ever ask for help, not with money at least. I’ve always been a hyper independent person. However I won’t be able to work immediately after birth as I will be healing. If anyone could find it in their hearts to give anything towards this fund for my bills I would greatly appreciate it. This is hard for me as I’ve always had a plan. My job not paying maternity leave has honestly put me in shambles trying to get everything together. It really is a shame that most jobs are like this. Knowing that I might only get a month with my son before I have to start working again breaks my heart. Unfortunately this economy and society we live in doesn’t make it easy for mothers to be without pay while they navigate their new lives. Anything is appreciated. Thank you.
