Support for My Uncle's Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
My Uncle Bryan was one of the first people to hold me when I was born, my parent's life-long friend. His daughters, my cousins, are like sisters to me. He has six young grandchildren who love him dearly. Today, my Uncle is facing a critical battle. It began with an unexpected devastating diagnosis of cancer in November. Initially there was a ray of hope – surgery removed the cancer and his lymph nodes appeared clear. But this relief was short-lived. With the new year the situation took a turn for the worse as the cancer returned with alarming speed; in under two months the cancer has now aggressively spread throughout his body. The prognosis is heartbreakingly grim as further surgeries are not possible, though aggressive chemo and immunotherapy will give him a bit more time with his family, which we desperately need. Our focus now is on providing my Uncle with the best possible care during his chemotherapy, aiming to make him comfortable as he faces this battle. Though we are confronted with a significant financial challenge as he has been denied medical assistance repeatedly. This is why we're reaching out to you – our community, friends, and those who understand the impact of such a situation. Our family could use any assistance you find yourself able to provide. Your contributions will directly support his chemotherapy treatments and necessary care to ease his discomfort. Your generosity means more than just financial assistance; it's a gesture of solidarity and empathy for him in his most challenging phase. My cousins are working tirelessly to meet with the medical teams, deal with the nightmare that is MediCal, and to just be there for their father. Your support can bring not only relief to my Uncle and his children, but also a sense of community strength in these difficult times. Let's show him he's not alone in his battle.
