I'm setting up this account for myself. I had major surgery on my pancreas twice 26 years ago. I had the surgery to remove cysts on my pancreas. The reason for the cysts has never been determined.
The surgeon needed to put an abdominal mesh in place so my organs could heal slowly. Complete healing took almost 1 year. The mesh covers my entire abdomen. I ended up losing seventy percent of my pancreas. I became diabetic from this surgery. Five years ago, I had a small infection in the mesh. I had an outpatient surgery performed to remove the infection. It was successful. Although, the wound has never completely healed. I was able to keep it clean and free of infection for five years. I was told that it was a chronic wound that would heal with time.
About six weeks ago, a part of the mesh became infected again. Now, I have to have a large portion removed and replaced, which is a very complicated surgery. A very long major surgery. At this time, a temporary mesh will be put in place. That may be followed up with a reconstructive surgery to repair any organs that may be damaged in the process.
Then there will be a surgery to replace the temporary mesh with a new, better mesh. Complete recovery will take about two months.
I live with my son, who is not able to work. I take care of him.
I need financial help to help me with medical bills, rent, and other bills in order to support my son and me.
I have worked in construction my whole life but now I am unable. I serve and attend Shepherd Church. I am a strong believer in Jesus.
